I often refer to silk caps as spinners' candy. They are small, colorful, playful and so versatile. Spin them into glossy yarn, knit with them as unspun rovings, blend them into wool and other fibers, add them to your silk fusion and papermaking projects.
 
They weigh from 12 to 14 grams each and are made up of many layers. Before sending your cap to you, I fluff it out and open the bottom of the bell so you can see where to begin separating the layers.
